In 2011, we had an early discovery of betrayal that should have brought us to our knees before God and driven us straight to professional help.
Instead, we handled it the way far too many couples do: privately, quickly, and entirely on our own.
Johnny wept, apologized, and even placed a phone call in Emily’s presence to break off contact with the other woman.
Emily wanted to believe it was over. Johnny felt the relief of dodging a bullet.
Yet days later, the underground connection resumed, turning into a four-year physical affair and three additional years of deception before our world completely blew apart in 2018.
In this episode, we unpack the dangerous warning signs we missed, the pseudo-repairs that gave us false hope, and the fuse that kept burning because we chose isolation over true accountability.
