73. God Knew Your Gift Would Threaten Some People | He Already Planned for It | You're Covered
Divinely Empowered WomanShow Notes
Sometimes your presence alone will trigger insecurity in others. Not because you did anything wrong but because the gift, influence, or clarity you carry exposes what others feel uncertain about within themselves. In this episode, we talk about why this happens and why it’s not something you need to shrink, explain, or apologize for. More importantly, we explore the deeper spiritual truth: God already knows how people will respond to the gift He placed inside of you, and He already has a plan. If you’ve ever wondered why relationships shift, why some people suddenly feel threatened, or why you find yourself defending your character when you’ve done nothing wrong, this conversation will help you see what may really be happening.

You’re putting in the effort. You’re strategizing, problem-solving, executing, and doing everything you can to create a better life. So why don’t your results always reflect how hard you’re working? In this episode of the Divinely Empowered Woman Podcast, we’re looking at one of the hidden reasons your effort may not be producing the fruit you expect: urgency is fragmenting your attention, affecting your execution, and ultimately impacting your results. For ambitious women, the instinct is often to find the problem, create a strategy, and get to work. But when pressure, anxiety, or urgency becomes your baseline, your inner Strategist can begin running the entire show. You may find yourself constantly fixing, pivoting, researching, planning, and executing while the woman actually carrying the plan gets overlooked. We’re talking about how to recognize that pattern, distinguish the immediate “flare-up” from what’s happening underneath it, and begin creating strategies that consider the whole woman, not just the destination she’s trying to reach. Because the goal isn’t simply to work harder. It’s to become a woman whose effort yields good fruit, in her business, relationships, home, well-being, and walk with God. If you’ve been doing a lot but wondering why your life doesn’t seem to reflect the amount of effort you’re putting into it, this episode is for you. 🎧 Listen now and subscribe to the Divinely Empowered Woman Podcast so you don’t miss an episode.
Self-reliance can feel like strength. It can feel responsible. It can even feel safe, because when something goes wrong, you know how to figure it out, make it work, and get things done. But what happens when the very thing that helped you survive becomes the thing keeping you in survival? In this episode of the Divinely Empowered Woman Podcast, I’m sharing a pattern God has been revealing to me that I call my Automatic Manual Response, the almost-instant response that happens when a problem appears and my mind immediately asks, “How am I going to handle this? How am I going to make this work?” Before I’ve prayed. Before I’ve paused. Before I’ve even considered whether the solution is supposed to come through me, I’ve already written myself into the story as the one responsible for figuring it out. And I began to realize how much pressure, anxiety, exhaustion, and unnecessary labor that response had created in my life. We’re talking about the difference between being capable and being called to carry something, what David taught me about inquiring of God before moving, how good intentions can still take us out of God’s order, and why a God-sized vision cannot be built through an operating system of self-reliance. If you’re the woman everyone depends on, the problem solver, the one who always figures it out, the one who knows how to make a way, this conversation may help you recognize a survival response you didn’t even realize was still governing you. Because sometimes the next step isn’t figuring out how to make it work. Sometimes it’s learning how to stop, inquire of God, and leave enough room for Him to answer.
God gave you the vision but did He assign you to personally become everything the vision requires? If building what God showed you has left you overwhelmed, stretched thin, financially pressured, or trying to fill every gap yourself, you may have confused receiving the vision with being responsible for producing every part of it. In this episode, Michelle breaks down the story of David and Solomon in 1 Chronicles 28 to reveal a different way to build. Solomon was chosen to build the Temple, but he wasn't expected to invent the blueprint, become the craftsmen, provide every resource, or figure everything out alone. The plans, people, provision, authority, and instruction had already been accounted for. But what happens when, unlike Solomon, you can't see the provision yet? That's where David's story becomes so important. You'll learn why receiving a vision from God is the beginning of the conversation, not the end, how David received detailed plans and understanding from God, why invisible provision doesn't automatically mean you have to fill the gap, and how to seek God for the plans, people, resources, and strategy connected to what He's actually asking you to build. If you've been carrying the weight of figuring everything out yourself, this episode will help you stop asking, “How am I going to make all of this happen?” and start asking better questions: Where are the plans? Where are the workers? Where is the provision? And what is actually mine to do? You can say yes to the vision without sacrificing your entire life trying to become everything it needs.
Have you been praying for clarity, provision, direction, or breakthrough—but feel like God isn’t answering? The answer may not be absent. Stress, fear, and survival mode may be creating so much internal “static” that you cannot clearly recognize, trust, or act on what God is revealing. In this episode, Michelle explains how an unanswered prayer can register as a threat in your body, keeping you trapped in anxiety, overthinking, urgency, and hyper-independence. You’ll learn how to quiet that noise, regulate your nervous system, and enter God’s presence from a posture of trust rather than desperation. Michelle walks you through three essential steps: • Clear the mental, emotional, and spiritual static• Calm your body enough to receive revelation clearly• Take aligned action on the direction God gives you You’ll also discover why the physical thing you’re requesting may not be the immediate answer you need, how fear can cause you to second-guess revelation you’ve already received, and when continued praying may actually be delaying an action you’re afraid to take. The central revelation of this episode is simple but powerful: the prayer may be answered when God gives you the revelation. Your aligned action is what walks that answer into tangible fruition. If you’ve been crying out to God for your next step, this episode will help you become still enough to receive it, secure enough to trust it, and courageous enough to move. As ambitious women, we’ve been taught that if we want more success, we have to give more effort. Work longer. Be more available. Push harder. Sacrifice now so we can finally experience freedom later. But what if more effort isn’t always the answer? In this episode of the Divinely Empowered Woman Podcast, we’re challenging the belief that greater success automatically requires more of you. Using the radically different business models of Chick-fil-A and McDonald’s, we explore what becomes possible when you stop measuring success by how much you can do and start considering the power of alignment. God may have given you the business, the idea, or the vision, but have you allowed Him to show you how to build it? Because building a business with God requires more than having faith in the assignment. It requires trusting Him with the way you execute it. If you’ve been working harder, giving more, sacrificing your rest, or wondering how much more effort you can realistically give to reach your next level, this conversation is for you. Maybe your next level doesn’t require more effort. Maybe it requires more alignment.
