What if today's workout helped you see yourself the way God does? In this movement episode, Alisa Keeton reminds you that this workout is a gift—not an obligation. You don't have to do this. Don't let your flesh bully you around. So begin with grace. Move with openness. And invite God to meet you here. Today's Scripture 📖 1 Samuel 16:7 "Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." Where our eyes naturally go, God often is not looking. We tend to focus on appearance, performance, and externals. But God sees deeper. And if we want to live fully alive, we need Him to help us see what He sees. The Heart of the Matter Your heart is what makes you, you. Scripture describes the heart as the center of everything: your thoughts your emotions your desires your understanding your will your soul The inner man. The inner woman. Today is an invitation to let God do an MRI of the heart—not with shame or fear, but with love and truth. Move and Notice As you move today, pay attention: What's happening beneath the surface? What thoughts keep rising up? What emotions are asking to be acknowledged? Look around. Slow down enough to see differently. Ask God to help you see yourself—and others—the way He does. Keep moving. Stay curious. And let Him meet you at the heart. We live in a world overflowing with information, noise, and constant connection. But what if our souls are craving something different? What if God is inviting us to stop white knuckling to hear from Him, and simply learn to be with Him?
"When the work becomes more important than the love, we are headed for divorce court." Alisa Keeton doesn't hold back in this REVING the Word workout. The church in Ephesus was working hard, enduring patiently, and holding tightly to truth. But somewhere along the way, they had abandoned their first love. It's possible to be busy doing things for God and lose the intimacy that started it all. As Alisa says, "The productivity cannot become more important than the intimacy." God isn't asking us to abandon the work. He's inviting us to return to the love that makes the work matter.
What do you do when what you see doesn't look anything like what God said? In this REVING the Word endurance workout, Aaron invites you to move at a steady pace while reflecting on Mary's story in Luke 2. When circumstances don't seem to align with God's promises, we can treasure what He has shown us and remember that His faithfulness doesn't change. You may not see it now. It may not look the way you thought it would. But if God is in it, it's not over.
"Facts will only get you so far. Nobody needs more information. Everyone needs the encounter with the God who loves you." What if the invitation isn't to try harder, but to receive? In this conversation, Alisa sits down with our friend, Stasi Eldredge, author of The Ladder of Love, to talk about learning to receive the love of God, the healing journey of knowing ourselves as beloved, and what it means to honor the bodies God has intentionally formed. They talk about moving from performance to receiving, from striving to rest, and from watching and controlling our bodies to letting ourselves be shepherded by the One who made us. IN THIS CONVERSATION • Learning to live as God's beloved • Moving from performance to receiving • Why our bodies matter to God • Being formed and shepherded by God • Emotional healing and spiritual intimacy with Jesus • What it means to embody the love of Christ
In this REVING the Word workout, Alisa walks through Jesus' promise in John 16: the Holy Spirit is our Helper. He comes to strengthen us, advance us, and convict us—not to condemn us, but to lead us back into truth.
