302. MONTHLY MEDICINE: October is Create

Tarot for the Wild Soul with Lindsay Mack

Show Notes

The water is flowing, the metaphorical arrow is flying through the air -- finally, with the month of October comes the movement, clarity, and expansion we've been waiting for. The theme of the month ahead is Create, and if we're willing to work with it, we can make extraordinary moves in our lives. The big work we will be doing this month isn't actually in the act of creating itself, but the resistance and inner protection that lies between us and this proverbial river, or arrow. The key for us will be to hold the aspects of us that have misgivings and doubts about this process, while taking those longed for leaps into creation and movement at the same time.

Our Soul Tarot Reading for October Card for the month ahead: Knight of Swords, King of Wands, Wheel of Fortune Feel/vibe of the month ahead: Four of Cups How can we best work with it?: Ace of Pentacles and The Fool

Welcome to a new week, loves, and with it a new weekly Soul Tarot download! This week, we're going to be called to really evaluate why we're saying yes to the things we are that are out of alignment for us. Not necessarily the stuff we absolutely have to do, but the shit we don't absolutely have to do, but agree to take on anyway. Is it fawning? People pleasing? Wanting folks to read our minds? This week reminds us that we have work to do, and in order to do it, we have to really audit what might be standing in the way of that work being able to have our full (or partial) attention.

Welcome to a new week, loves, and with it a new weekly Soul Tarot download! This week, we have a really tender and vulnerable invitation to trust deeply in the unseen magic in our lives. It is going to call on us to lean into our gifts, expressing our desires and wishes, despite potentially any evidence around whether it's truly "working" or bringing anything new into our lives. What is here no longer serves, so we must root into the energy of early Spring, a time when life comes back to itself underneath the very soil we're walking on, and allow our intentions to be planted regardless of reassurances.

We have the legendary Lisa Stardust on the podcast today to speak about this seismic transit and how to best work with it! Lisa also gets into a bit about Mercury Retrograde, and shares how she got started doing the work she does.

Welcome to a new week, loves, and with it a new weekly Soul Tarot download! This week, we are being invited to meet the blocked, stuck, tricky places within ourselves and in our lives with fresh perspective, looking for the open windows wherever we encounter locked doors in our lives. It's very much a choose-your-own-adventure this week. The energy of the week ahead might invite us to find new ways to rest and come to stillness for our own nourishment, in spite of all we need to accomplish. We might, in contrast, be invited to come more forward with our energy, tapping into reserves of capacity that we might not have been aware that we had. Either way, it a quietly expansive week ahead, one that has the potential to truly open roads (and windows) in our lives.

Welcome to a new month, and with it, a new Monthly Medicine! Our theme for October is Magic as Refuge. This is a twisty, windy, snake-like, slow roll of a month. It is a candle slowly burning, tea slowly steeping, giving way to itself as we traverse it. We are invited to reclaim and deepen into whatever we feel is rooted in magic, or feels magical in our lives -- as medicine, as refuge. We are invited to get tender, vulnerable, truthful, to bring our whole heart and soul to our relationship with that magic, to really ask for what we want and are hoping for. The rest of the month is a complex web of invitations, some that will ask us to slow down, pause and reorient, and some that will call on us to put our foot on the gas a little more than we have been. Through it all, magic remains the North Star. How can you bow over to the invitation, reclaiming and rejoicing in your own magic, in the most open and curious way possible through the month ahead?
