Lily wakes up brimming with excitement for her next jungle adventure with Daddy after their relaxing day at home. To her surprise, Daddy lost his voice from all the squealing, laughing, and playing they shared the day before. Lily spends the day very close to Daddy, unable to hear his voice any other way. The two trek to a waterfall and then to a quiet grove of trees where Lily receives a special gift: learning to hear God’s gentle, quiet voice as He speaks straight to her heart! In part 4 of Lily’s Jungle Quest, Lily and Daddy share a ‘home day’ as they wait for the ground to dry from the storm the night before. After dark, their explorations continue, experiencing lights that God created – lights that make the dark less scary. In the process, Lily learns that God has put a light inside of her too – a light that shines brightly showing God's greatness to the world and also brings comfort to her in the midst of darkness. In our third visit with Lily and Daddy on their jungle adventure, Lily, Daddy and their dog Pickles race home from exploring the jungle as a storm approaches. Even in the safety of the cabin, Lily struggles with fear. She can’t quite seem to have power over the ‘I’m scareds’, as a child of God, a royal princess, should, or so she thinks. As she cowers under the table, Daddy pulls his girl close and shares a story about his own fear. Together with Lily, we’ll learn how God wants us to be close to Him when we’re afraid, not be ashamed that we can’t fight offthe ‘I’m scared’ feelings on our own.
