Kobe at 17, Sandlot With Michael Jackson & Getting Found at Taco Bell with Ced Ceballos
All The SmokeShow Notes
Kobe's cousin and 1995 All-Star Cedric Ceballos pulls up on ALL THE SMOKE. Ced wasn't supposed to make it: he barely played in high school, got discovered working at a Taco Bell, and went from the 48th pick to leading the Lakers in scoring. He takes Matt and Stak inside the '93 Finals, the night Charles Barkley showed up for him, and what a 17-year-old Kobe told him the first time they talked. Hear what Jordan did the morning of a Finals game, why Steph would've gotten touched up in the 90s, and how Ced survived the ICU and three heart attacks. This one is a reminder of what the NBA brotherhood looks like.

More from All The Smoke
Nancy Lieberman has a story about everybody and she brought a lot of them to ALL THE SMOKE. Matt & Stak got into all of it with Lady Magic: taking the A train to hoop at Rucker Park as a kid, the day Muhammad Ali pulled her aside and changed her life, and the summer Pat Riley didn't want her on the Lakers. Nancy also got real about coaching under George Karl in Sacramento, what Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese did for WNBA paychecks, and the BIG3 run that made her and Stak family. World Series MVP and two-time All-Star Jermaine Dye joins All the Smoke Dugout to talk about betting on himself out of junior college, his rookie World Series with the Braves, coming home to the Moneyball A's, and the handshake deal on a golf course that led him to the White Sox and a 2005 title. He also opens up about why his career ended earlier than he expected, choosing family over the game, and what today's teams can learn from old-school baseball.
The Kawhi Leonard era set the Clippers back 10 YEARS?! 👀
We finally got a major actress on the show and she's one of the dopest in the game: Kerry Washington. Matt & Stak got into all of it with Kerry: her new Netflix thriller "Animals" with Ben Affleck, fighting for the Olivia Pope role, what it was like on the Django set with Jamie Foxx & Leonardo DiCaprio, and whether we'll ever see Scandal again. She also told us how Finding Your Roots led to the family secret behind her book and about the time J.Lo subbed in as her dance teacher at the Boys and Girls Club in the Bronx. Stak spilled his drink twice and he swears it wasn't nerves. And if anyone needs the real-life Olivia Pope, Kerry reveals she's got her number. Learn more about your ad choices.
