This is an audio version of #48 of A Sentimental Journey (Book Ten. Brussels. Part Four. Jeanne Dielman, 23 quai du Commerce. 1080. Bruxelles. Section 1. Day One. Part 1.) narrated by the author. The dialogue and scene descriptions are taken from scenes in Chantal Akerman’s Jeanne Dielman, 23 Quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles (1975). The scene descriptions are mine . The dialogue is from the English sub-titles to the Janus Films print (janusfilms.com) published in The Criterion Collection with some modifications I made where the translation departs from the French. It should be noted the version on Vimeo is truncated. Illustration by Danny Hellman.
