Dealing with Disappointment: What to do when God doesn’t give you what you want

Sanctified Wellness

Show Notes

What to do when God doesn’t give you what you want…

*We learn to trust God in the trials (think of Hannah who couldn’t have children)

Hannah chooses to trust God she’s crying out to God and asks God to “look upon her sorrow”

She decided that she would trust God no matter what.

1 Samuel 1 “ the lord remembers her plea and she gave birth to a son”

Samuel means “heard by God”

Remembering her trial & God heard her prayer.

How do you wait well?

We may not always understand, but we can see his faithfulness throughout our lives.

*Reminder: we will always experience disappointment…this earth and everything in it was never meant to satisfy.

Luke 22:42 “…not my will, but yours be done.”

There is purpose in your pain…

He knows what we are feeling, and we can trust Him to carry the burdens of our souls.

A lot of the time we are disappointed because we are putting our hope in the wrong places.
