Integrated primary care and Motivational Interviewing

Daniel Mullin explores why Motivational Interviewing fits particularly well within integrated primary care. He discusses access, coordination, continuity and comprehensiveness, and considers how MI can provide a shared communication approach for medical and behavioural health practitioners working together.

The episode also examines empathy, high-risk conversations and allowing patients to teach practitioners what matters to them. These themes connect with Motivational Interviewing in Healthcare, Reflective Listening and Partnership.
