Episode 559- When a Stranger Calls (1979)

In this week's episode, we're doing a little weird orphan stuff with the 2007 supernatural horror film "The Orphanage." Special topics for your consideration include: rallying around the family with a pocketful of seashells, useless husbands, lifelong glasses, confusing parenting choices, and Catholic raps. Like orphan-themed horror? May we recommend Episodes 395 and 399, the "Orphan" franchise? You can support us at patreon.com/werewolfambulance and listen to a ton of action movie episodes. This month it's "Goldfinger." We are also getting into the meat of our second season of "Nice One, Mate!" which is FREE EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT A PATRON. leave us a message at 412-407-7025 hang out with some cool listeners at https://discord.gg/DutFjx3cBD buy merch at www.teepublic.com/user/werewolfambulance the best place to reach us is at [email protected] we're on Reddit at r/werewolfambulance www.werewolfambulance.com if you feel you really must lodge a complaint with us, please do it on Facebook at facebook.com/werewolfambulance because we are probably not gonna see that, ever. In this week's episode, we are discussing a very serious treatise on the roles of politics, religion, and generalized Authority in our society with the 1981 film "Evilspeak." Just kidding, it's garbage. Special topics for your consideration include: Clint Howard and his teeth, Luca Brasi the pro wrestler, tits and butts, hog rage, and being a pervy baddie bitch. 1981 was a great year for cinema. My favorite episodes that we have recorded for 1981 films are Episode 41- "The Last Shark" and Episode 305 - "My Bloody Valentine." In this week's episode, we are still working on our cultural relevance by covering another fantastic film from 2026, the Damian McCarthy film "Hokum." Special topics for your consideration include, the body of Adam Scott's work, a deep and abiding kove of folklore, searching the medicine cabinet, children's television performers, just a little bit of tripping, and very bad movies. Yinz like this guy's work? We loved "Oddity." It's Episode 496. You can support us at patreon.com/werewolfambulance and listen to a ton of action movie episodes. We'll have a poll up soon to choose a new action movie in the James Bonds series. That's his name, right? In this week's episode, we're going down a very silly path with the 1989 comedy/horror film "C.H.U.D. II: Bud the C.H.U.D." Honestly it's hard to believe it's real. Special topics for your consideration include: a shocking comparison to a film we reference too regularly, being a professional hater, weird swimwear, exercise motivation, and sassy children. Hey we did these movies in order! We covered the original in Episode 253. You can support us at patreon.com/werewolfambulance and listen to a ton of action movie episodes.
