Accountants On Purpose

Purpose Based Accounting: The Struggle Is Real with Andrew Van De Beek

Accountants On Purpose

Show Notes

Andrew Van De Beek is pretty amazing! He is the Director and Co-Founder of Illumin8 and the Co-Founder of a social enterprise - Big Little Brush.

Andrew is passionate about working with people to help their business and investment performances meet their life goals and dreams. Knowing why they choose to do what they do puts everything into perspective. He's keenly interested in working with new businesses and original ideas, helping to discover ideal business software and technologies to help them succeed while providing the right level of advice for any need or concern.

Andrew really moves away from stereotypes that have covered the accounting profession in the past. A position where importance is given to ethical, reliable and genuine relationships with clients is paramount to him. It's only then that real change and growth can begin.

In this episode we cover: Being obsessed with what people are doing and what they could be doing. Being a whiskey enthusiast and his dream to open a whiskey bar one day as a life goal. Having a rebellious side and what it actually means - and it's not what you think! What makes Illumin8 different to the "normal" accounting firm and what's at the core of their purpose. Embracing technology as a completely cloud based business.

And much more! Check out the full episode.

[FOOD FOR THOUGHT] No one wins when you don't speak truth and honesty. People should be able to work where they live, not live where they work.
