Show Notes

We open with a man extradited to Louisiana after an investigation into the online exploitation of an Acadiana child—including allegations he tried to push the minor toward demise. From there we head to Alabama, where a man is accused of using a chainsaw to kill his grandmother and aunt inside their home, then turning a court appearance into its own spectacle. Former University of Kentucky cheerleader Laken Snelling has been sentenced in the case of her newborn son, whose body was found in a closet; she previously admitted in court that she “ended his life.”

DNA technology finally closes a long-dormant West Virginia sexual assault and abduction cold case. A maintenance worker is caught on a nanny cam going through a tenant’s underwear drawer. Two 15-year-old girls in California are arrested after authorities say they spent months researching and plotting a school shooting. The man who appeared on The People’s Court with his then-fiancée is charged in her 2011 disappearance and murder.

In Florida, a man is accused of shooting his girlfriend outside a bar and then running her over while his young daughter and the family dog were present. In our Lustful Lawbreakers segment we cover the domestic dispute that started over a missing sex toy and ended with both parties in handcuffs (before they reconciled). And we close with the Montreal woman killed in her apartment while she was on a work Zoom call with colleagues—her attacker now charged with first-degree murder.

Part 4 of a 4 part series On January 24, 2023, in Duxbury, Massachusetts, labor-and-delivery nurse Lindsay Clancy strangled her three children—Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and eight-month-old Callan—then jumped from a second-story window. She survived, paralyzed. Her husband, Patrick, came home from errands she had sent him on and found the house silent. Clancy has never denied killing her children. The fight in court was over why. Her defense said she was in the grip of postpartum psychosis: delusions, a voice telling her she had no choice, and a mind so broken she could not form criminal intent. Prosecutors said the day was planned. She had taken the kids to the doctor, played with them in the snow, gotten her husband out of the house, and—they argued—knew exactly what she was doing. The 2026 trial in Plymouth lasted weeks. Patrick Clancy, who had once asked the public to see “the real Lindsay,” took the stand for the state. Jurors heard the 911 call, hospital statements, medication history, and dueling psychiatric experts. After seven days of deliberations they could not agree. Eleven jurors were prepared to find her not criminally responsible. One holdout, Michael Desronvil, said he had no doubt she acted deliberately. The judge declared a mistrial
