EP 6: Growing Up Young, Pulling Yourself Out of Toxic Relationships, and Leaning into the Feminine with Terri Boucher
Meant For ThisShow Notes
Terri Boucher joins me on Mama Fire today. Terri is a mindset coach for women, she is also the host of the Unhinged and Healing podcast, and is one of the most authentic and real humans I’ve ever known. Terri is not afraid to talk about the controversial topics, she inspires women to embrace their feminine and will keep you laughing all the way through it. We talk about her childhood—feelings of abandonment, depression and having to grow up at a very young age. We talk about why so many women find themselves in relationships holding them down, how to show up for yourself and demand the same level of love and respect you deserve, and so much more. And if you're looking for support in your motherhood journey, join a community of moms that are not afraid to talk about the fullness of what it means to be a woman and mother today, a place where we break down the walls and cages through awareness, clarity, and a road map inward. In this conversation, Taylor and I explore the shame many men carry around their sexuality, desires, and emotional world—and how that shame quietly shapes the way they show up in relationships and within themselves. We talk about where this shame comes from, why so many men suppress parts of who they are, and what becomes possible when they finally begin to face those parts with honesty instead of judgment. I hope this conversation offers a perspective that challenges assumptions and maybe helps you see yourself—or someone you love—a little differently.
Sigrid Tasies and I sat down in Austin to talk about the armor we learn to wear as women, the versions of ourselves we keep performing, and what happens when we can’t keep doing it anymore.
In this episode, Taylor and I sit down for an unfiltered Q&A exploring the questions we get asked most often. We talk about desire, fear, relationships, self-trust, regret, and the choices that change the course of our lives. From why men are afraid of their desires to what it actually costs to choose yourself, we share our own experiences, perspectives, and the lessons we've learned along the way.
Why does it feel like men and women are speaking completely different languages in relationships?
Emily and I first met 20 years ago when she began dating a childhood friend of mine. Since then, it feels like many lifetimes have passed—filled with change, growth, and profound transition—as she navigated life after her husband (and my childhood friend) passed.
