Dreamwork, Hedge Walking & Astral Travel What happens when we close our eyes—and where does the witch go when consciousness begins to wander? In this episode of Between Three Witches, we explore dreams, hedge walking and astral travel through the experiences of both newer and more established practitioners. We discuss the differences between vivid dreams, lucid dreaming, spirit-led experiences, hedge crossing and deliberate astral travel—as well as the difficulty of knowing whether you have travelled somewhere, received a message or simply had a particularly powerful dream. How does a newer witch begin exploring these practices safely? What changes when journeying becomes a familiar part of your path? And do experienced witches always have more control—or have they simply become more comfortable with uncertainty? We share how these practices can feel in real life, from accidental experiences and dream symbolism to intentional journeying, protection, grounding and returning fully to the body. There is no single way to cross the hedge and no test you must pass before your experience becomes valid. Sometimes the practice begins with something as simple as remembering your dreams and learning to recognise the places, beings and patterns that return.
