Raw, unvarnished 60s garage rock wasn't just an American phenomenon—it was a global outbreak. In this episode of Retrospect, we circle the globe to uncover mid-60s teen stomp from every corner of the earth. We spin Japanese Group Sound classics like The Tempters alongside Malay fuzz from Les Kalifas, Italian beat music from I Nomadi, and fierce instrumental grooves from Peru’s Los Belkings. Turn up the gain and take a trip around the 1960s underground map!
