In 1869, a troubled American doctor boards a whaling ship in Aberdeen, hoping two months at sea will salvage what remains of his career. Captain McPhail expects a profitable voyage, and his crew has little patience for a physician who cannot stomach their work. But as the ship pushes north, the doctor begins to fear something beyond the cruelty of his companions. He senses a presence following them through the dark water—and when a brutal hunt gives way to a gathering storm, his misgivings become impossible to dismiss. Off Florida’s Forgotten Coast, a stranded shrimp trawler promises Jonah Daughtrey the payday he has spent years chasing. Its hull appears intact, its cargo remains aboard, and no rival salvager has reached it. For once, the advantage is his. But the crew has left no tracks on the beach, and a scavenging bird soon draws his attention to something caught in the nets. Aboard the Job 2:7, Jonah finds signs of a disaster that never made it into the ship’s distress calls. While his first mate searches the deck, he ventures below, following the prospect of salvage into cramped compartments fouled by decay. Somewhere beyond a closed door, something scratches. As the evidence mounts, Jonah must decide how much danger he is willing to overlook for a profit—and whether he has already waited too long to leave. Conrad Owens grew up hearing about the Whispering Man—the mysterious figure his father blamed for his missing eye. It was a family ghost story, something to frighten children after the lights went out. Then Conrad mentions an uncle nobody remembers. The photographs offer no answers. His family insists he’s mistaken. And somewhere nearby, an ordinary-looking man in a brown suit is quietly taking an interest. Join us for a chilling descent into a world where memories outlast the people who made them, and protecting someone you love can attract precisely the wrong attention. Teddy has made a terrible mess. His sister is dead. His beloved Peg has been destroyed. And Mother will be home at any moment. As Teddy races to conceal what happened inside their decaying family home, grief gives way to darker impulses—and an already horrifying crime threatens to expose the secrets the household has kept buried for years. But Teddy is not the only member of the family with a distorted understanding of love, obedience, and punishment. Written by Brian Warner, better known as Marilyn Manson, “All in the Family” is a transgressive descent into domestic depravity, where innocence has curdled into obsession and keeping a family together may prove more terrifying than tearing it apart. In Perdition Ridge, the fog hides more than the horizon. A young boy lives among ramshackle shelters and hard-drinking shipyard workers, waiting for his father to explain why they cannot go home—and why his mother never came with them. His days belong to the fishing traps along the jetties. His nights are spent keeping quiet and hoping his father’s anger passes him by. Then a vessel emerges from the mist, carrying something no working ship should hold. The men ashore know more than they will say, and the stranger who promised his father a better life seems to have claims that reach far beyond a day’s labor. With little protection and fewer answers, the boy begins to discover that a cage can take many forms. Listen on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@chillingtalesfordarknights/
