Show Notes
On this episode of the Acid For Squares podcast, hosts Tanya Dahl and Cody Blue welcome Blu of Earth, international speaker, artist and host of the Deja Blu podcast, and Lily Ashwell, astrologer, intuitive artist, author and spiritual teacher. Together, they explore the true meaning and purpose of tarot cards, and other ancient divination practices, as well as the extraordinary creative journey behind the newly released Heavenly Bodies Astrology Deck.
Tarot is often misunderstood as a supernatural method for predicting the future. Throughout history, divination practices have been feared, stigmatized, outlawed and restricted in communities around the world. Blu and Lily offer a different perspective: these cards are not necessarily here to tell us what will happen, but to help us communicate with our own divinity, access our intuition and more consciously meet the moment unfolding before us.
Blu and Lily share how years of spiritual study, artistic exploration and initiation into wisdom traditions from around the world became woven into Heavenly Bodies. What began as the creation of a deck became a profound personal transformation, challenging both women to embody the teachings they were studying while unexpectedly giving birth to a beautiful sisterhood, creative partnership and friendship. They also discuss symbolism, synchronicity, astrology, oracle cards, spiritual discernment and how sacred tools can reconnect us with the wisdom already living within us.
This episode is a mystical and deeply human exploration of divination, creativity, feminine friendship and the possibility that the answers we seek may already be waiting inside us.
