Show Notes

Sentiment tracking helps us see what messages are landing, or in the case of National, tanking with audiences - and there's a really clear reason why - voters are sick of being lied to.

From scary pictures of brown faces to cherry picking economic data, the post Second Chrises leaders debate Facebook follow up from national was just as full of BS as their debate claims. Often they were the same thing.

The Second Chris Debate didn’t have as many misleading statements as the first, maybe it was because the host kept interrupting, on at least one occasion helping th PM to think of the right word and trying to talk over Chris Hipkins. Might explain why he has a couple of fact checks on his work as well this time. So a quick explainer here - a Misleading statement is anything deliberately misleading like I have been lying to my wife about McDonalds, cheery picked like “youth crime rates have gone down based on a small sample of 1000 people, or where actions prove otherwise like funding Disability services is important but they slashed funding to Whaikaha.
