Ladeeez and gentlenuts, my big bro and his family were visiting us in Melbourne a few weeks ago, so I took the rare opportunity to sit him down and pick his brain, especially on how us physios can LISTEN and COMMUNICATE better with our patients. We all get those patients who trauma dump on us when they’re really just there for their knee pain 😂 How much of that do we validate, and when do we need to recognise that something is outside our scope? How do we navigate these conversations, and when and how do we refer them to someone actually qualified to help with their mental health? All these questions and more in today’s episode. Hope you enjoy our chats!!

LADEEEEZ AND GENTLENUTS!!!!! First of all, welcome BACK to the flexing physio podcast, it has truly been a minute. BUT we are back and going to be regular with recording and uploading because this brings uncle dan so much joy :') In today's episode we meet Pat the EP. Pat works in the community and has in the past few years been creating content on social media and has gotten to the point where he is given lots of fun opportunities such as running the sydney marathon with yopro and doing other cool stuff!! If you need a sign to begin documenting your life, THIS IS IT!!! Enjoy the episode guys, this one was special for me :D
ladeeeez and gentlenuts!!! Today we have the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Eliza Whitford, sport and pelvic physio. She is also early in her career and she gives us great tips on burn out risk reduction, communication with patients and how to screen for RED-S in athletes. She is a wealth of knowledge and we shared lots of laughs and insights in this episode. Happy listening!!
wasssup laddeeez and gentlenuts, in today's episode, we meet and chat with luke poon, a fellow physio who's been in the profession for a number of years now. It was great to explore his brain with his wealth of knowledge when it comes to ACL movement re-training. He does run courses too, so have your eyes peeled for a course running near you!! Without further delay, I hope you enjoy today's episode.
