Medieval Poland Part 2: Wladislaw’s Sons, Casimir the Great, and the Jagiellonian Dynasty

Following the death of Duke Wladyslaw in 1102, Poland is divided between his sons Zbigniew and Boleslav, leading to a power struggle. Boleslav ultimately defeats Zbigniew, blinding him to secure his rule, an act that shocks the populace and results in Boleslav's excommunication. Seeking alliances, Boleslav engages in the politics of Hungary and Kiev, while the first Latin history of Polish rulers is documented. Despite Boleslav's intentions to create a stable succession plan, his death in 1138 leads to further fragmentation of Poland, which remains divided for the next two centuries.
The reunification of Poland begins with Wladyslaw the Short in 1288, who faces challenges from the Kingdom of Bohemia but gradually consolidates power. His son, Casimir III, known as The Great, implements significant reforms, including rebuilding infrastructure and establishing a legal code. After Casimir's death, the Polish throne passes to Louis of Hungary, who governs through his mother, Elizabeth. The eventual ascension of Louis's daughter, Jadwiga, and her marriage to Jogaila of Lithuania marks a pivotal moment in Polish history, leading to a lasting union between the two nations.
Under Vladislav, the newly formed Polish-Lithuanian union confronts external threats from the Teutonic Knights, achieving a decisive victory in 1410. The political landscape evolves, with the rise of a constitutional monarchy and increased power for the nobility, transforming Poland into one of Europe's wealthiest nations while simultaneously deepening the divide between landowning elites and peasant farmers.

Last month I put out a video demonstrating conclusively that Israel has been committing genocide against Palestinians for nearly three years. At the same time I exposed the streamer Destiny (Steven Bonnell II) as a genocide-denying sexual predator and total loser, since he called me a neo-Nazi, and I used that as my excuse to do the Israel video. He and his cult of loser orbiters had a complete meltdown about it, which was expected, so now that the damage control is over, it's time to clap back and even further expose Destiny.
