The Royals Uncensored

Show Notes

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made their first joint public appearance in the UK since returning from California, reigniting questions about their relationship with the Royal Family and whether the Sussexes are attempting to establish a rival royal court.

In this episode, the panel discuss the couple’s latest public appearances, their reported plans to return for Christmas, and the growing tension between the Sussexes and the working royals. Are Harry and Meghan blurring the lines between private citizens and public figures, and how will King Charles and Prince William respond?

Meanwhile, King Charles has reportedly paid £1.5 million towards the costs of repairs at Royal Lodge following his brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s departure. With renewed scrutiny over Andrew’s finances, his ties to Jeffrey Epstein and the wider issue of royal funding, we ask whether the King is doing enough to protect the monarchy’s reputation.

We also look ahead to the 60th anniversary of the Aberfan disaster, as King Charles, Queen Camilla and Prince William prepare to pay tribute to the 144 people who lost their lives in one of Britain’s darkest tragedies, and reflect on the late Queen Elizabeth II’s enduring connection to the community.

Plus, we discuss the latest royal headlines, including William’s public engagements, Catherine and Princess Charlotte’s reported London Underground journey, and your comments on last week’s show.

Hosts Jo Elvin, Katie Nicholl and Grant Harrold are joined by Royal Editor of news.com.au Brontë Coy and Royal Editor of the Daily Mirror, Russell Myers to discuss.

Earl Spencer’s new book about his sister, Princess Diana, has sent shockwaves through the Royal Family - with explosive claims about King Charles, Diana’s death and the final years of her life now dominating the headlines.

Sep 24, 2026

It’s been a week of bombshells for the Royal Family, as the late Princess Diana’s brother, Earl Spencer, released a tell-all book commemorating his sister’s life and sharing stories from her time as a member of the Royal Family. Well, at least, that’s what it was meant to be. The book revealed several shocking claims, the most notable being the suggestion that King Charles, then Prince Charles, was seen to be “giddy” after learning that his then-wife and mother of his two children, Diana, had died in a tragic car crash in Paris. Many have slammed this claim, including her former butler, Paul Burrell, who on Piers Morgan Uncensored said Charles was in fact completely 'broken' by the news. Another claim made by Earl Spencer that has since swiftly been proven to be untrue concerned Piers Morgan and his time as editor of the Daily Mirror, when the newspaper published photographs taken with a hidden camera at Diana’s gym, showing her working out in a leotard. Piers has since threatened to sue Spencer over the incorrect claims, with Earl Spencer offering a public apology for making “wrongful assumptions.” So, joining Jo Elvin, Katie Nicholl and Grant Harrold on today’s Royals Uncensored to unpack all of this and more is royal author and commentator Ingrid Seward, Royal Editor of the Daily Mirror Russell Myers, former PPO to Princess Diana Ken Wharfe, and host of Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered, Kinsey Schofield.
