The Reclamation Project

EP14 The Work is Not A Weapon

The Reclamation Project

Show Notes

Choosing yourself doesn't mean choosing against the people you love. In this episode, we talk about what happens when healing and healing language - such as boundaries, triggers, nervous system regulation, and self abandonment - become a weapon instead of a tool for connection to self and to your loved ones. Real healing isn't about being right, avoiding compromise, or diagnosing everyone around you. It's about accountability, discernment, repair, and learning how to stay loyal to yourself while making room for another person.

Self abandonment isn't the goal - but neither is self obsession The goal is self loyalty inside the relationship

What if your anger isn't the problem, but a signal you've been ignoring for far too long? In this episode of The Reclamation Project, we're uncovering the truth about anger, the resentment that builds when we keep swallowing our needs, crossing our own boundaries, and calling it being understanding. It's time to stop judging yourself for what you feel and start listening to what your anger is trying to tell you. Because reclaiming yourself means learning to honour your truth without abandoning yourself to keep everyone else comfortable. REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS What am I calling fine that I'm actually angry about? Where am I repeatedly saying yes while resenting the fact that I said yes? What truth have I been afraid to communicate? What am I trying to preserve by keeping the peace — and what is it costing me? What is one action I can take that honours what I've learned without acting impulsively?

Choosing yourself sounds Empowering... until it costs you something. In this episode, we're getting real about what happens when choosing yourself means disappointing someone - setting a boundary - walking away - losing approval - or sitting in grief of a decision you know is right for you We talk about why discomfort doesn't always mean you've made the wrong choice, why you may have deveoped a higher tolerance for your own unhappiness than you realize, and how to stop running to self abandonment just because someone else is uncomfortable with your boundaries Choosing yourself isn't about making everyone else happy with your decisions. This is about refusing to make your own betrayal the price of keeping everyone else comfortable.
