(revised 22 July 2026) A character-driven mystery stitched from sci-fi, constellation folklore, and time loops—handcrafted by Voiceover Nerd Productions.Listen all the way through, then claim your favorite — the poll waits at the end, if you are on Spotify. (Don’t let Cultist #4 win.) A village with no stars in the sky.A stranger who keeps dying.A pig-man who only wants to help. And a death cult that won’t stay buried. In Gratch Hollow, the village seamstress records stories of constellations that exist everywhere but here. A warrior wakes to the same brutal moment again and again, trapped in a loop he can’t escape. And a young scientist named Sara studies equations that could rewrite time—until something keeps pulling them all back to the morning everything burned. When the cult strikes at dawn, Sara’s mentor fights back with impossible precision. Jon, a gentle pig-man cast out by his warrior race, offers comfort in the chaos. And the stranger flickers in and out of existence, his sword already drawn before his eyes open. Some things repeat. Some things remember. And the truth never stays the same. It's a slow-burn, kinda sci-fi, kinda mystery drama… with its own sense of humor (which, coincidentally, is much like mine). It's about time troubles. About "mathmagics," a warrior nun, and an amnesiac who loves her. (Her love language may, in fact, be blunt force trauma. He stands by this.) It's about constellations and their legends guiding a world without stars, and the people trying to record them for the future. It's about the price you pay for the wrong decision, and a gentle soul who would never check the cost. It’s a story about making impossible choices when no one will know the sacrifice you made for them.

Jon was not born in Gratch Hollow, but he became part of it. In Ilra Wint’s chronicles, he is recorded through the work of his days—bare-hoofed in the garden, mending what was broken, steady when the rest of us were not. This audio drama episode of What the Pig Promised follows Jon—the Quiet Goreborn—the family who raised him, and the place he held in Gratch Hollow.

The Stranger finds unintended purpose in his grueling death cycle, while the battle for a mysterious and frightened boy rages. A passage from The Book of Purifications: the legend of the Sister of Ashen — warrior of the Equation, protector of the constant, and catalyst of the Nameless. The creative innovation of a mathemagical pattern. The gardener with the bravery of innocence. And from a higher place… the spiral reveals itself, while the panther guards the truth from those not yet ready to receive it.

Dear Listener, fear not. A deep freeze may still a river’s surface, but in spring it again becomes one with the undercurrent. Solstice storybook tales of the Stranger waking to a Hollow buried in warm snow… a village replaced with something different… and a little girl who brought her cats to meet him. A story for Goreborn piglets, explaining humans. Possibly. Magic colorful cats.
