More from The Good Glow
Elizabeth Holmes was just 19 when she dropped out of Stanford to start Theranos, a company she believed would change healthcare forever. Her big idea was that a tiny drop of blood could be used to run hundreds of medical tests. Investors bought into her vision, and at its peak, Theranos was valued at $9 billion. But there was one major problem: the technology didn't actually work as she claimed. What followed was one of the biggest scandals in Silicon Valley history. The company collapsed, Holmes was found guilty of defrauding investors, and she was sentenced to over 11 years in prison. Her story is a fascinating example of what can happen when ambition and hype get ahead of the truth. Thank you Sanex Skin Therapy for supporting Soul Sisters this season.

Their two young daughters were in the house at the time. As police began investigating, questions started to emerge about what had really happened that night. Investigators uncovered evidence of an affair, troubling messages and what they believed was a staged crime scene.
