In the first of a series of SUMMER VACATION EPISODES, the Youth Gone Mild Podcast 🎵 host Gen X Joe had the privilege of interviewing JD McGibney of Angels on the Battlefield.😇🤘 Angels on the Battlefield combines symphonic and progressive metal to explore themes of personal struggle and #mentalhealth; featuring members Chris Wirsig, Jason Klein, and Eddie Trager, and notable guest collaborations. They have released EPs such as 'Over Darkened Skies' and a series of heavy metal covers, including interpretations of Alice Cooper "Poison" and their own take spin "The Phantom of the Opera". The group has earned highly notable #GRAMMYs long-list considerations. While they haven't received a final nomination, their song "Modern Prometheus" made the list for multiple awards. NOTE: Prior to this episode being produced, the band was nominated for the Hollywood Independence Award for "On The Wings of Dragons." Congratulations!

For Season 3, Episode 17 of the Youth Gone Mild Podcast, host Gen X Joe has Adam Bernard as his guest. Bernard is a music journalist with 25 years of experience and a reputation for championing indie artists. In 2020 he wrote 'ChemBro: Embracing Beastmode to Beat Cancer', a memoir about being diagnosed with testicular cancer that had spread to a lung while he was training for his fifth-degree black belt in Kempo, which is remarkable. However, he and Gen X Joe discuss his latest book, 'One Hit Wondering: The Stories of 40 One Hit Wonders + Other Tales From The Crates', which was released July 21, 2026.
