Show Notes
No your eyes do not deceive you... This week on the podcast I'm joined by both GANS and Cowboy Hunters for the first ever DIDAP MEGA EPISODE!
We planned to meet in Stoke-on-Trent to record two separate episodes but for reasons outside of anyone's control, both bands arrived at once and we went with it. The result: a beautifully chaotic episode of the podcast. Coins get found, ceilidh's get danced and most importantly - no one gets hurt!
This episode of the podcast was recorded at the beautiful Stockton Brook Water Works in Stoke-on-Trent. To find out more about the incredible work they're doing, you can find them on Instagram, Facebook or click this link right here: https://lovecanals.uk/blogs/stockton-brook-waterworks/ Learn more about your ad choices. What an absolute JOY to have Nikki and Ben from BODEGA on the podcast this week! Over from New York for a run of shows in the UK, they took a morning out to come detecting with me in the fields of Hertfordshire!
Singer, songwriter and all round lovely bloke Sam Tompkins joins me for my first EVER bit of beach detecting! I met Sam on the south coast for a bit of metal detecting and to chat about his brand new album 'Are We Gonna Sing?' - I really enjoyed this one, hope you do too!
Well WHAT an episode we have this week! I'm joined by Katy Young to discuss starting the group Peggy Sue and the Pirates with her best mate, coming through the whirlwind that was the mid-00s indie-folk scene and evolving into a solo artist for her most recent project Tenderness. Her beautiful debut album True is OUT NOW - go and listen to it.
Punk rock legend, Shanne Bradley joins me in the field for some metal detecting and a chat!
Recorded LIVE at Deer Shed Festival 2026 - this is our very first live podcast!
