On Film…With Kevin McCarthyShow Notes
This is a 30-min conversation I had with Ari Aster, from July 10th 2025, which is just over a month before I officially started this podcast as "On Film...With Kevin McCarthy". Therefore, this is technically not a podcast episode but just a 30-min filmmaking conversation that I still wanted to share, as you can see how the podcast was forming based on this conversation. A little over a month later, I'd launch my first official podcast episode with Josh Brolin on August 18th, 2025. For more context of this conversation, Ari Aster and I are sitting in a filming location for Eddington; in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. This interview was filmed after the production of the movie, during Ari's promotional tour of "Eddington".
We discuss Eddington, Midsommar, Hereditary, Beau is Afraid, Cinematography, Score, Sound Design and more.Original interview conducted on: July 10th, 2025. Original cut of the interview uploaded: July 24th, 2025.#ariaster #eddington #midsommar #hereditary #beauisafraid #cineamtography #filmmaking #movies
