This week we’re joined by Norfolk Island local and absolute weapon Scotty Greenwood from Scotty Greenwood Adventures.
Scotty grew up on Norfolk Island and has spent his life on and around the water. From growing up fishing one of the most untouched places we’ve ever visited, to now running his own charter and putting people onto some seriously good fish — Scotty has a few stories to tell.
We chat about what it was like growing up on Norfolk, how the fishing has changed over the years, starting and running a charter on the island, the highs and lows that come with it and some of the wild experiences he’s had along the way.
After spending the trip fishing with Scotty, we genuinely couldn’t think of a better bloke to sit down with and hear the full story.
And the best part…?

More from The Less Ordinary Podcast
This week on Less Ordinary, we sit down with John Midaka from Daiwa to hear the story behind one of the most recognisable soft plastics in fishing — the BaitJunkie prawn.
4x4 camping and touring in Australia has come a long way. From basic setups and old-school bush trips to fully built rigs, rooftop tents, lithium batteries, Starlink and everything in between — the way we explore Australia has completely changed. In this episode, we look at how 4x4 touring has evolved, what’s made it so popular, and whether we’re making camping better or just making it more complicated. We dive into the gear, the culture, the accessibility and the changing landscape of camping across Australia — and take a look at what the future of 4x4 touring might look like. Are we heading towards smarter, more capable setups, or are we slowly moving away from what made camping so good in the first place? A yarn about 4x4s, camping, touring, technology and where it all goes from here.
Fishing has come a long way — from reading the water and trusting your gut, to live sonar, high-resolution sounders, electric reels, advanced mapping and technology that can practically tell you where the fish are. But have we reached a point where there’s simply too much technology in fishing? In this episode, we dive into how technology has changed the way we fish, whether it’s making us better anglers or taking some of the skill and mystery out of the game, and where we think fishing technology is heading next. Has technology levelled the playing field, or are we reaching a critical mass where the gear is starting to do too much of the work? Another big conversation from the Less Ordinary crew — plenty of opinions, plenty of fishing talk, and probably a few arguments along the way. Less Ordinary — fishing, mates, stories and everything in between.
This week on Less Ordinary, we’re talking all things jet ski fishing and the Sea-Doo Fish Pro as part of the Follow the Fish Pro Sea-Doo campaign. Sea-Doo have given us a Fish Pro to put through its paces, get out there, chase some serious fish and create some epic content — with $10,000 up for grabs for the campaign. We dive into everything we’ve done on the Fish Pro so far, from snapper fishing and tuna fishing to getting offshore and chasing marlin, and share what we’ve learnt along the way. We talk about what makes fishing from a jet ski so unique, the places it allows you to access, the ability to move with the fish and some of the unreal missions we’ve been able to get stuck into with it. From inshore sessions to offshore adventures, we’re breaking down the Fish Pro, the fishing, the experiences and some of the best moments we’ve had on it so far. Plenty of fishing stories, big fish, good times and, as always, plenty of carry on. Less Ordinary x Sea-Doo — Follow the Fish Pro.
Bodhi Mani lives one of the most unique lives we’ve come across, and in this episode we get a proper look behind the scenes. From life on the farm and the Barra Farm, to having thousands of barramundi on his doorstep, there’s plenty to unpack. We talk PNG dogtooth tuna, surfing, 4x4s, custom car builds and boat builds, as well as some of the more unexpected things growing around the property… 🌱 It’s a conversation about building a life around the things you love, chasing fish in some incredible places, creating your own adventures and making the most of where you live. Farm life, barra, PNG dogtooth, surfing, cars, boats, and a few interesting plants along the way. Another one that’s definitely Less Ordinary.
