Summary
Manchester United faces uncertainty regarding head coach Michael Carrick following a heavy defeat to Como. While the club publicly expresses confidence in Carrick, exploratory contacts with potential replacements indicate that a change may be imminent. Notably, discussions with Italian coach Antonio Conte reveal that he has significant demands for squad reinforcements, which could complicate negotiations. The club is also considering younger options, such as German coach Julian Nagelsmann, should they decide to part ways with Carrick.
In transfer news, Federico Chiesa's situation at Liverpool is under scrutiny as he may seek a move back to Serie A as early as January. With the emergence of young talent Ngumoa and competition from Victor Munoz and Frimpong, Chiesa's playing time has diminished. Liverpool appears willing to entertain offers for him, potentially through a loan arrangement. Chiesa has previously turned down other destinations but may now reconsider his options to secure more playing time and enhance his visibility for the Italian national team ahead of upcoming competitions.
