Arch & Raleek SAVE Texas’ Season vs. Ole Miss | From the Field

On Texas Football

Show Notes

Jeff Howe, CJ Vogel and Hank South react from DKR after Texas ended its two-game losing streak with a season-saving 34–27 victory over No. 7 Ole Miss. Arch Manning played with the confidence and edge Steve Sarkisian has been demanding, producing two rushing touchdowns and leading the decisive 80-yard drive after the Rebels erased Texas’ early lead. Despite 14 penalties, three turnovers and injuries to Trevor Goosby and Cam Coleman, the Longhorns finally finished a close game.

Raleek Brown delivered a career performance with 157 rushing yards, while Ryan Wingo added 111 receiving yards and a 50-yard touchdown. The defense also intercepted Trinidad Chambliss three times and held him to the lowest completion percentage of his Ole Miss career without Colin Simmons. The crew breaks down Raheem Biles’ impact, Will Muschamp’s masterful game plan and another chaotic special-teams performance.

Bobby Burton and Rod Babers explain why Texas remains favored over No. 7 Ole Miss despite consecutive losses and one of the ugliest offensive performances of the Steve Sarkisian era. Can desperation, home-field advantage and a vulnerable Ole Miss run defense help the Longhorns rebound—or has Texas shown too little offensively to trust? The guys also discuss Arch Manning’s leash and when Sark might turn to K.J. Lacey.
