After a spontaneous mediumship reading by Susan Grau on a past episode received millions of views across social media, the hosts decided to take things further. The question: Can brain science prove that communication with the spirit world is real?
In order to find out, they invite three popular guests to return to the show: neuroscientist Dr. Andrew Hill (founder of Peak Brain Institute), evidential medium Susan Grau, and comedian Jessie Mae Peluso. Susan undergoes a QEEG brain mapping session while giving Jessie a live psychic reading. Dr. Hill monitors her brainwave activity in real time, comparing her baseline to the altered state during mediumship. The goal is to determine whether Susan’s brain shows distinct and measurable changes that could scientifically validate her abilities.
The episode concludes with a studio roundtable where Cody, Tanya, Susan, Jessie, and Dr. Hill unpack the brain scan results, discuss the emotional accuracy of the reading, and reflect on the deeper implications of using neuroscience to measure spiritual experience.
