Ep 130. Welcome to Season 6, and the mark of a brand new chapter for What's The Juice Podcast. Wellness is changing, humanity as a collective is changing… each and every one of us are going through huge internal shifts right now. When I sat with the question, 'how can I be of maximum service to my community at this very moment?' I realized that at least for right now, that doesn't look like another episode about your circadian rhythm. It doesn't look like another complicated protocol to add to your to do list. In the age of information overload, we now know what we "should" be doing to take care of ourselves – I'm more interested in unpacking the deeper, not-so-palatable reasons as to why we sometimes can't or don't. The things we think we're alone in carrying, like shame or guilt, that prevent us from hearing our own inner wisdom and voices about what our bodies actually need separate from an IG perfect morning routine.
I'm ready to show up as a fuller, wiser version of myself and speak even my ugliest truths because telling our stories is what free us from that shame. This means I also get to speak to the fullness of YOU, and the big life you're working so hard to create by facing your deepest layers. Let's talk about all the things we struggle with behind closed doors: how to build a real relationship with yourself after a lifetime at odds, candid chats about vices, friendship breakups, and rediscovering your inner child so that she can get you through this often magical but sometimes extremely difficult life. Come along for solos, Q&As, conversations between everyone from thought leaders to my very best friends.
Starting off strong, today we're chatting about periods of death and rebirth. Massive transitions are a part of life, but how do we best care for ourselves during a time when it feels like the world we once knew is ending? What do you do when you wake up one day and your life no longer fits – you know you need to say goodbye to the way things are, but you're terrified of jumping when you don't know what's next? I'm breaking down my last couple of years and the terrifying experience of letting go, sitting in nothingness, and trusting that something new will be born. I'll be sharing the very best wisdom I learned from the pain. Whether you're ready for a change in your career, relationships, or sense of identity, this episode is a comforting reminder that growth is necessary, nonlinear, and ultimately SO worth it.
HERE'S THE JUICE Why we're so afraid of change and how to understand that the "death" before a rebirth is necessary
What to do when you know a part of your identity has expired, but you can't quite see what's next yet
How to know when you're entering a period of restructuring and change (and the signs your life might be giving you that it's time to course-correct)
Why major life pivots are essential even if our society doesn't value us during them – how to train your brain to know that discomfort and pain come before growth and birth
Embracing the idea that your worth isn't dependent on your creations and productivity, but rather your innate ability to create in the first place
How to navigate misalignment and have patience for ourselves when we don't listen to our inner voice and fall off our path
The power of the unknown and why jumping into it is sometimes the only way forward
How to create space for rest and reflection in small ways on a day-to-day basis & why nature can be an influential teacher and source of comfort during transitions

Ep 149. Have you ever met someone and instantly felt in their energy a sense that they were meant to be in your life? Sometimes, we experience this inner knowing not just with people, but with certain places, career paths, or experiences that feel undeniably aligned. What is this intuitive sense, and how can we learn to recognize and become in conversation with it? In this episode, Christine Lang, medical intuitive and author, explains how our spirit communicates through the body. She breaks down the differences between messages from the ego mind vs. from the spirit, and why we are naturally drawn toward our spirit's truth even when it's uncomfortable or inconvenient. Christine shares her own transition from attorney to medical intuitive, revealing how chronic symptoms can be messages, and how she developed her gift to identify the physical markers of energetic misalignment. This is one of those episodes that honestly only feels possible because of the amazing community here, allowing us to continue to question, evolve, and explore so many facets of this human experience.
Ep 148. Have you ever felt that you have completely lost your identity inside a relationship? Or ever struggled with identifying your feelings until another person either helps you… or prevents you from having to metabolize those feelings altogether? This episode has been a long time in the making. What is codependency really, and how does it tie into the deep shame that women so often feel in so many parts of our lives— our productivity, our bodies, our relationships? Why does it feel so deeply woven into our lineage + society, and the ways in which we were taught to love and be loved? Vanessa Bennett, relationship therapist and author of The Motherhood Myth, is breaking down the science behind codependency, why romantic relationships are one of the only socially sanctioned addictions in our culture, and tangible tools to address dysfunctional attachment when it does appear. We are diving into what codependency looks like in real, day-to-day relationships, and why we tend to show up differently with different people. She breaks down why both men and women carry a deep "choose me" wound, and how this can evolve into codependency if not questioned. Thank you all so much for listening, and Happy New Year!
Ep 147. Have you ever wondered if pain, shame, or anger is showing up in your life because it's the key to something deeper? What does it actually mean to be an intuitive healer? And how do we learn to hear what our own pain has been trying to tell us our entire lives? This week, Manuela Welton, an energy healer who has spent nearly two decades helping individuals, companies, and even governments understand themselves on a deeper energetic level, is breaking down loss, fear, and judgment from an energy perspective. From her gifts being discovered as a four-year-old child to experiencing devastating loss that shaped her childhood, she shares how the death of her parents became one of her greatest initiations into her path. If you've ever felt like you just need an energetic clean slate and to validate or move stuck energy that has stayed with you WAY too long, this episode will feel like the hand you have needed to hold. I'm so honored to share such a sacred relationship that I have worked so closely with over the last couple years. Manuela truly has a one-of-kind gift. Thank you all so much for listening.
Ep. 146 Is heightened intuition a gift or a trauma response? Why is it stronger for some than others, and what is the science behind why some people have 'psychic' abilities? Laura Day, world-renowned intuitive and bestselling author of Practical Intuition and her new book The Prism, is diving into why our unique childhood experiences & 'wounds' can determine the ways in which our intuition may express as an adult. Laura grew up in a chaotic home affected by suicide, manic depression, and narcissism, effectively raising her siblings alone, and is sharing how her beginning actually became the portal to discovering her intuitive gifts. She breaks down the important difference between intuition and wisdom, and why intuition can be both a superpower and a stumbling block depending on how we develop it. HERE'S THE JUICE - Breaking down how she developed her gift for intuition through trauma, highlighting how many of our childhoods are prone to trauma due to lack of power - Laura shares her early life experiences – coming from three generations of physicians, and how that gave her a data-driven approach to intuition - Why the very things that challenged us most often become our points of greatest strength and tangible steps to identify our challenges and take small steps to create the life we want - The importance of avoiding the trap of constantly trying to "change yourself" and instead approaching the mind as a mechanical system that may only need a small change - The crucial difference between intuition and wisdom - Why intuition is a double-edged sword and when we should and shouldn't listen to it TIMESTAMPS 00:00 Laura speaking on Gift and trauma of intuition 03:09 Laura Day's Story 09:24 The science behind intuition 15:38 The role of trauma in intuition 22:09 The mechanics of change and the importance of small changes 29:32 Understanding intuition and its limits 35:30 Empowered realistic thinking 36:21 Navigating self-perception and growth 40:07 The power of reparenting and healing 51:47 Understanding ergo centers and intuition 01:05:02 Setting goals and embracing change
Ep. 145 Do you ever wake up with that sense of dread about how much has to get done - that you jump right into work mode? You put yourself on the clock immediately (especially mentally), without stopping to check in with the methods, pace, or unattended needs that might truly support the flow of your day? Do you find yourself not moving enough all day because it feels like there's not enough time to break or eat because you can't justify moving from your computer? Mayssa Chehata, my dear friend and founder of the BEHAVE candy company, is sharing what it actually took for her to move out of a productivity-first based mindset… to creating space, listening to her body, and allowing for the right rest to fuel creativity as a female founder. We talk about the rock bottoms that force us to rebuild, how anger can be an important part of the healing journey, and the shift that happens when you learn to give yourself what you so deeply need to become the next best version of you. HERE'S THE JUICE Breaking down WHY dragging yourself out of bed every day to create will dwindle your creativity down to zero
