🎙 Come, Follow Me Moms Podcast April 20–26 Exodus 19–20, 24, 31–34 Moses & Mount Sinai | The Ten Commandments | The Golden Calf

“We Will Do… Until We Don’t — And Then Grace” Episode Overview Have you ever felt SO close to God… You told yourself: “I’m going to be more patient.” “I’m going to show up differently.” …and then life hits. It’s 4pm. Dinner isn’t started. Kids are fighting. You snap. And you think: “Why am I like this?” This week in Exodus reminds us: ✨ We are not alone ✨ We are not the only ones who struggle ✨ And even when we fall short… God stays This episode is about: Covenant relationship Why we forget spiritual experiences Modern-day “golden calves” And the power of grace + trying again

God Wants Relationship (Exodus 19) “Ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me…” (Exodus 19:5) God’s goal was never just rules—it was relationship. He invites His people to come closer… but they hesitate. 💬 President Russell M. Nelson: “The Lord loves effort, because effort brings rewards that can’t come without it.”

Mom Application: How often do we hesitate too? “I don’t have time” “I’m too tired” “I’ll do it later” We stay at the base of the mountain. Commandments = Connection (Exodus 20) The Ten Commandments are not just rules—they are relationship protectors. Love God Love people Come unto Christ

💬 Elder Dallin H. Oaks: “We offend God when we ‘serve’ other gods—when we have other first priorities.”

Ask Yourself: What is my first priority? Where am I spending my time and energy?

Modern “Golden Calves”: Phones Comparison Busyness Exhaustion Even good things that push God out

The Sabbath (Exodus 31) Are we watering down the Sabbath?

💬 President Nelson: “What sign do I want to give to God? … The Sabbath is a delight.” Mom Application: This isn’t about guilt. It’s about asking: “How can I make space for God today?” Even if it’s: 5 quiet minutes A prayer in the car Turning off the noise

The Golden Calf (Exodus 32) “They have turned aside quickly…” (Exodus 32:8) After only 40 days… they forgot. And honestly? It’s not just them… it’s us too. We’ve seen miracles: Prayers answered Strength we didn’t have Help on hard days …and still… We drift We forget We numb out 💬 Emily Belle Freeman: “Don’t let the distraction of the world keep you from the direction of the Lord.” Moses = A Type of Christ (Exodus 32–33) “Blot me… out of thy book…” (Exodus 32:32) Moses pleads for his people—just like Jesus pleads for us.

💬 Elder Jeffrey R. Holland: “You have not traveled beyond the reach of divine love.”

Prayer Changes Everything One of the most powerful moments this week was a simple prayer. A child praying for his mom… And heaven showing up. Prayer invites strength Prayer connects us Prayer reminds us we are not alone

This Week’s Invitation: Pray for your kids Pray for your spouse Pray for a friend Say it out loud Write it down Send it to someone

“Who Is on the Lord’s Side?” (Exodus 32:26) Whose side are you on? Who are you tethered to? This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about: Who you are choosing

Idols in Our Lives “Do you want a God in your life… or a calf that doesn’t care about you?” Modern idols: Money Shows Debt Distractions They don’t care about you. Truth: We often turn to things that: Numb us Distract us Drain us Instead of the God who: fills us

💬 President Nelson: “In coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the constant influence of the Holy Ghost.”

Grace (Exodus 33–34) “My presence shall go with thee…” (Exodus 33:14) “The Lord God, merciful and gracious…” (Exodus 34:6) Even after failure… God stays God forgives God invites us back Remember: Grace transforms Grace helps you become Grace heals and delivers

💬 Emily Belle Freeman: “Grace is not the light at the end of the tunnel. It is the light that moves us through the tunnel.”

Final Thoughts for Moms Mamas… You are not: Your worst moment The day you snapped The time y

Episode 41: He Hath Borne Our Griefs & Carried Our Sorrows | Isaiah 50–57 + General Conference This week on Come, Follow Me Moms, we’re studying Isaiah and talking about some of my favorite messages from General Conference! Isaiah teaches us something every overwhelmed, exhausted, worried mama needs to hear: You were never meant to carry everything alone. Isaiah prophesied of Jesus Christ as “a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief.” He didn't just come to save us from our sins—He came to bear our griefs and carry our sorrows. He understands the worry, loneliness, exhaustion, heartbreak, mom guilt, and seasons when life looks completely different than we thought it would. Pasted markdown Sometimes we pray for God to take the hard thing away, but instead He says, “I'm going to walk through it with you.” In this episode we talk about:

Come, Follow Me Moms | September 21–27 Isaiah 13–14; 22; 24–30; 35 “A Marvellous Work and a Wonder” What if the things that feel broken in your life aren’t actually finished? This week in Isaiah, we see warnings about pride, worldliness, and turning away from God—but we also see an incredible message of hope, healing, and restoration through Jesus Christ. Isaiah describes broken walls, barren ground, heavy burdens, wandering people, and things that seem beyond repair. But that isn’t where the story ends. He also describes the wilderness blooming, the blind seeing, the deaf hearing, sorrow disappearing, and God’s people being restored. In this episode, we’re talking about what all of that means for us as moms. We’ll dive into:
