Lyrics Below — “Pure Heart Of Devotion” was written in the late 1990s after a powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit during a remarkable season of revival. The song came out of a renewed desire to lay aside the distractions and idols of this world and follow Jesus with an undivided heart.
At its center is a simple prayer: that everything competing for our devotion would fall away, and that our hearts would belong completely to Jesus. The repeated refrain, “Pure Heart of Devotion,” expresses that longing for a sincere, wholehearted walk with God—not built around outward performance, but around love, surrender, holiness, and the desire to follow Jesus wherever He leads.
Originally written during that season of spiritual renewal in the late 1990s, “Pure Heart Of Devotion” was revisited and remixed in 2026, bringing a fresh musical setting to a song whose message remains unchanged.
