Show Notes
Hello gorgeous listeners,
Just popping in with a little update from us. Life has gone a bit… sideways. Bronts is in the middle of moving house, and this week my dad had a fall and shattered his femur, so we’re suddenly spending a lot of time doing hospital runs, family things, and generally trying to work out what the new normal looks like for a minute. So, we’re pressing pause on the pod for a couple of weeks. We love this little show so much, and we love that you show up for our nonsense, our Thermo wins, our Thermo fails, and our deeply unnecessary opinions. But right now, real life needs us. I’ve recorded a little honest update for this week’s episode, so you’ll hear more there — but we didn’t want to just disappear without saying something here too. We’ll be back as soon as we can, probably slightly frazzled, absolutely full of feelings, and no doubt with some sort of hospital cafeteria review nobody asked for. Btw, I learned this week what 'Code Black' means in hospital. Yikes. Thanks for being patient with us. We love you.

School holidays are FINALLY over and Erin is hanging by a thread. Between endless sleepovers, children who apparently never leave (and have individual egg orders), and Dad landing back in hospital, there’s not much left in the tank.
THE BACHELOR’S HANDBAG Australia’s most reliable dinner date is getting the episode it deserves. But first… obviously we spend a completely reasonable 12 minutes reviewing Kylie’s Grand Final performance before remembering this is allegedly a food podcast. Then we get down to chook business: Coles vs Woolies — who’s got the superior bird? What are we actually DOING with a cooked chook? Viral chicken recipes worth trying Chicken lasagne Peking chook pancakes French onion chicken pie Nagi’s Buffalo Chicken Dip — so rich you may want 000 on standby Because there is SO much more to the humble supermarket chook than sandwiches and sad Tuesday-night salad.
THIS ONE TIME, AT BAND CAMP… Yes, Erin actually plays the flute. Yes, she went to band camp. And yes, this week’s chat about our kids getting into trouble somehow turned into Erin & Bronte confessing their own school misdemeanours. Also on this week’s completely sensible food podcast...
