Episode 62: News + Quick Recap of Aftershock, the Second & Final 2024 Reunion Show

HEY YINZ! Here's some news, plus a quick recap of Slayer's second and final 2024 reunion show at California's Aftershock fest. Some links follow. This is another different kind of episode. And it's short. Here's the important stuff, moreso than the episode itself:

DEEZ NOTES -- UPDDATED (Two Ds for a Double Dose of Slayage):

Single video of the entire Aftershock set. Viewpoint: CLOSE. Sound: Janky. Price: Free... so hey, you know? This one has the best viewpoint, but it has a lot of jumpy edits, with songs cut short:

Also, please take the Slaytanic Surveys. AND tell your friends about the survey. Post it. Pass it around. The more the better. We need something like 30 more respondents, at least. 300 would be better.

1) The Slaytanic Survey (Round 2): Please tell us about your favorite songs and albums. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7YRH76S

2) The OTHER Slayantic Survey (Round 1): Who is Slayer's MVP? What was their best tour? Do you see the reunion coming? What's your LEAST favorite record? And...? Tell us here. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/S9729MV

Talkin' Slayer is -- normally, not this week -- deeply researched, written, mostly rehearsed, and lightly edited, with some production value. Normally, host D.X. Ferris reads you chapters about Slayer's history, from his second book about the band, "Slayer 66 & 2/3: A Metal Band Biography." But not this week. Because sometimes we have Slayer news.
