Today, on the A Side, we’re joined by a Helen Kapalos, an award-winning documentary filmmaker and journalist whose work was instrumental in advancing the legalisation of medicinal cannabis in Australia. With more than 20 years’ experience as a broadcaster across Australia’s commercial and public networks, she directed, produced and appeared in a groundbreaking documentary on medical cannabis that was later acquired by Netflix and SBS and screened nationally, helping bring the issue into the public spotlight.
Helen is also a published author, commentator and speaker on multiculturalism, public policy and social change, known for her work advocating for equity, inclusion and evidence-based reform.
