Does Being Sore or THE BURN Mean You're Building Muscle? - Day 79
The Body Recomposition Revolution | Fat Loss and Strength for Women 35+Show Notes
Day 79: Does Feeling the Burn Mean You're Building Muscle?Does muscle burn mean muscle growth? Do you need to be sore after a workout to build muscle and look toned? Today we're breaking down one of the biggest workout myths: the burn is NOT proof that you're building muscle. That burning feeling during squats, glute pulses or lateral raises is associated with fatigue. Muscle growth comes from giving your muscles enough challenge to adapt, recovering, and progressively asking them to do more over time. In this episode: • Muscle burn vs. actual muscle growth • What mechanical tension means in plain English • Why soreness isn't proof of a good workout • What 1–3 reps in reserve (RIR) means • Why you don't have to lift insanely heavy to build muscle • Why you don't need to train every set to absolute failure • How progressive overload actually creates the “toned” look • Why harder, sweatier and more painful doesn't automatically mean better Stop chasing the burn. Start chasing progress. 🎯TODAY'S 3 RAC RECOMP TARGETS 1.
