Southampton made it three Championship home wins from three with an impressive 3-1 victory over Swansea City at St Mary’s — and arguably their best performance of the season so far.
Martin Starke is joined by Daily Echo Saints reporter Alfie House, freelance football writer Tom Prentki and Rob Maddox (SaintRob) to look back at a night when Southampton’s attacking quality really began to click. The panel discuss Finn Azaz’s influence, Leo Scienza’s best performance of the season, another excellent display from Flynn Downes and the increasingly promising midfield partnership between Downes and James Ward-Prowse.

Attention then turns to another big Championship test as Bristol City visit St Mary’s on Saturday. Michael Skubala’s side arrive in excellent form after three consecutive wins, with former Saint Dom Ballard among a heavily revamped squad. We assess their strengths, the threat from set pieces, Southampton’s likely starting XI and ask whether another victory would confirm a genuinely strong start to the season.
