Show Notes
I went to Yokosuka to see a friend who opened a flower shop. We talked about how she left the apparel world to work with flowers, and the people helping bring this small street back to life. On the same street, there's a shop run by two brothers who make clothes and leather goods, so we stopped in there too.

What was the biggest mistake I made as a new freelancer in Japan? 😅 It was so bad that I almost lost my client. In Part 2, I share that story, the good and bad sides of freelancing, why I grew apart from my hometown friends, and how I went from composing music for ads to making Japanese content for you. Natural Japanese around N3-N2. Part 1 is the previous episode. 👇Learn N5 Immersion Program https://www.okkeijapanese.com/n5-program/
What is it really like to make a living from music in Japan? 🎸 In Part 1, I talk about my 20s playing in a band in Tokyo: why a show with 20 people can still lose money, how streaming, merch and royalties actually pay, and how money can split a band apart.
