Billy Bolt is finally back—and he’s just completed the final round of the EnduroGP World Championship after more than three months off a motorcycle. Billy explains why he almost withdrew from EnduroGP Wales, why he chose the two-stroke, how difficult it was to remember the tests and what makes the championship far more brutal than most fans realise. He also reveals how many times he crashed, why every fall cost him £100 and how his race bike ended up being stolen. Tommy reacts to losing the British MX2 Championship to Charlie Heyman, before the conversation turns to dead-engine starts, Josep Garcia’s incredible ability and whether motocross riders could survive EnduroGP. The boys then debate the Stark VARG’s advantage at World Supercross after electric bikes took every holeshot in Calgary. Should electric and petrol bikes compete in the same class—and would Tommy really be faster on a Stark than his own race bike? Billy’s back. The structure didn’t survive. Let us know below: should electric bikes race directly against petrol bikes? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Jeffrey Herlings made the toughest track in motocross look easy, completing another perfect weekend at Lommel and recording his 120th Grand Prix victory. Tommy and Ed break down Herlings’ incredible sand technique, his improved Honda starts and the mechanical problem that nearly threatened another victory. They also discuss Stefan Everts’ fascinating assessment of Herlings’ mentality and the incredible amount of riding that once required a new practice-bike frame every ten hours. Elsewhere, Kay de Wolf impresses on his 450, Romain Febvre survives a frightening crash, Ben Watson delivers another strong sand performance and Billy Askew claims a brilliant first EMX victory at Lommel. Plus: Camden McLellan’s charge through the MX2 field, the Lucas Coenen injury mystery, Team GB selection, sand-riding setup advice and Tommy’s painful Lommel memories. Who could have beaten Herlings at Lommel—and who should represent Team GB at the Motocross of Nations? Let us know below. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
