Ken Craig is the principal at Samuel Webb Elementary School in Wethersfield, CT. With 20 years in the field of education, Ken went from a music teacher to a principal. His school is a model for what trauma-informed restorative practices look like in the real world. Grades are up, attendance is up, and kids rarely arrive late because they want to see the school's facilities dog, who is there with a wagging tail. This is what school should look like. Ken and I talk about today's kids and the challenges they face. We talk about the inside job of implementing trauma-informed restorative practices. This is such a good conversation!
