WWMD: Ghosting on posting, content auditing, and listening to signs of burnout

What Would They Do

Show Notes

OOP I missed a week of WWTD, and I've decided not to let it ruin any podcast progress we've made together. I felt (for a very short period of time) that I needed to make some stress-saving cuts, and unfortunately WWTD was first on the chopping block. But we're back, and I've decided to dive into this because there is both an art and a science to stress management- both of which have to work together to make the wheels on the bus go round. Whether this is in a business/career journey, a fitness journey, or really any other relevant "journey". There is the rational and there is the emotional. There is the "just keep pushing" vs knowing when to take a step back. I used some artsy intuition to decide that in order to maintain my brain from melting away via stress bucket overflow, WWTD had to wait. In this this episode to talk on my choices to take a very brief step back so I could gather some thoughts and get back to the hustle feeling revived. I'm back, caffeinated, and feeling extra yappy. Come along my crash out with me (also take a shot every time I say the phrase "crash out").

As you may (or may not) know, I'm beginning my prep! Well, sort of. I'm starting my pre-prep phase, and it's shocking to me how many competitors have no idea what I'm talking about when I say that. So without further ado, I take this short episode to explain my pre-prep process and how I use it to set my competitive season up for success.

How many times have you wondered "HOW does she go on vacation and look like THAT?" I hate to be the person to expose this, but we go on vacation looking like that because we aren't hung up on looking like that. I take this episode to walk you through the mindset framework that I use before I go on vacation, when I'm on vacation, and when I come home to help me align my actions with my real goals. It is through this this I am able to make clear decisions that directly impact my physique and my mental health while I travel.

Becoming a competitor is a multi-level decision. What is your why? Are you prepared to do it for the long haul? Do you know what it means to be competitive? I take you through some of the most common considerations of young amateur athletes who have the dream of hitting the bodybuilding stage. I want to really uncover not only some of the first things you need to think about, but some of the things you SHOULD think about after your first season is over or coming to a close.

I don't know how many of you have seen my hand tattoos, but in general I'm actually a lover; not a fighter. To that point though, I only BECAME this way by recognizing the importance of truly being in love with my life and my identity before I could ever be that for someone else. My chosen independence has helped shaped my self worth into the type of person that doesn't need to be validated by a relationship status (or another person in general). I don't EXILE the idea of one, but I don't necessarily want one right now... and I definitely don't need one. I definitely think this is place every person should be before they get into one.

I deep dive into the realities of gaining body fat post show, holding body fat in an off season or growth phase, and the real life mindset framework that I use to audit and dictate my daily decisions and leave me feeling happy and comfortable in every phase that my body is in.
