Scotty & Pete FULL SHOW - 27/10/26

The upcoming AFL season is set to kick off with a controversial Thursday night match between Fremantle and the Western Bulldogs, reportedly scheduled for 4:40 PM local time. This timing has raised concerns among fans, particularly those in regional areas who may struggle to attend due to work commitments. Critics argue that the AFL's scheduling prioritizes the East Coast market, neglecting the needs of West Australian supporters.

In cricket news, the Australian team has announced its lineup for the third Test against South Africa, with Scott Boland being left out in favor of Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon. This decision has sparked debate, as Boland has been a standout performer but faces stiff competition in a strong bowling lineup. Former Australian wicketkeeper Ian Healy emphasized the importance of the batting lineup stepping up, particularly Marnus Labuschagne, who has faced scrutiny for his recent form.

Additionally, the Fremantle Traffic Bridge, now renamed Walyalup Bridge, is set to officially open this Sunday, marking a significant infrastructure milestone for the area. The bridge's opening is expected to ease traffic congestion and improve access to the Fremantle region.
