Show Notes
It's a cold November morning. A dead leaf does a dance in front of your feet as you walk through the breeze. You walk by a storefront, the newspaper headline is "Invasion of Afghanistan" another bitter reminder that the world is harsh. The only evidence you are still alive is the steam in air as you breath. But that steam is snuffed by the cold air. Cold like the ice in your heart. It's 2002 and you've just discovered Black Heart Procession, and all that pain gets a little better knowing this strange band, with it's saws and broken pianos, well they understand you. In the next main episode of Pod Like a Hole, your boys will time travel to when they first came together in their early 20s, and dissect Black Heart Procession's, "Amore De Tropico" . But not yet, no if being a broken hearted sadsack has taught you one thing, it's patience. No this week, we will dive into the history of Black Heart Procession, Pall Jenkins, Tobias Nathanial, Three Mile Pilot, early 00's indie rock, and the dying art of a good small club merch table. We hope you enjoy the journey. Links: Facebook (The only reason to visit that site) https://www.facebook.com/podlikeahole/

More from Pod Like a Hole
This episode concludes our discussion of The Cure and this Pod Like a Hole season by analyzing the album Disintegration. Do we end the season on a sour note, or do we find ourselves whisked away to a world of wind chimes and thunderclouds rumbling in the distance? Just like one of the themes of the record, everything must come to an end. We thank you, faithful listeners, for following us as we talked for countless hours about our favorite music, artists, and bands in what felt, at times, a neverending project. We ain’t quite dead yet though. Stay tuned. All good things…
This episode discusses our individual rankings for the Cure's studio album discography. This conversation is a prelude to our next episode where we review track by track the album Disintegration. This is the second of the two part Songs in the Key of Life episodes on the Pod Like a Hole Podcast. Picking up with Isn't she lovely, the hosts go deep into their notes and feelings about the second half of Stevie Wonder's opus Editors note: This is the last time I drew the straw on editing an episode. We only have a handful left before wrapping the show up. YEARS of staying up late and cutting the conversations together of Eric, Marc, and I always re-reminded me why I've been pals with these guys for years. It was a joy and I'll miss doing it.
Pod Like A Hole discusses Stevie Wonders' Songs In The Key of Life. The hosts touch on his other amazing 70s albums, the Wonder of Stevie Wonder, the TV Show the Curse, Weird Al, Wild Wild West, and review Sides A and B of the album - track by track. Join us next time for side B and C. Followed by our final Podcasts that will cover Robert Smith's the Cure.
