This week, I wanted to have an honest conversation about something we hear a lot as single mums - "You're so strong." While it's often meant as a compliment, I want to explore why that phrase can sometimes feel like a burden rather than support. When you're juggling work, parenting, co-parenting, emotional stress, and maybe even a hostile ex, being told "you're strong" can quietly reinforce the idea that you have to keep holding it all together, no matter how exhausted or drained you feel inside. In this episode, I talk about why you don't actually need to be strong right now, and why feeling tired, overwhelmed, or like you're barely keeping it together doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you. This is a reminder that you're allowed to soften, to feel, and to let go of the pressure to constantly cope. If you're reading and nodding along, this episode is for you - a space to breathe, feel seen, and not be "strong". Links mentioned in the episode: Download the E-book, I'm A Single Mum... In this final episode of the Single Mother Survival Guide podcast, I'm sharing a heartfelt goodbye as I close this chapter after 10 incredible years. It's a moment to reflect on the journey, the community we've built together, and the privilege of supporting thousands of single mums through some of life's most challenging seasons. This episode is a celebration of everything we've shared, the lives that have been touched, and the strength, resilience, and hope I've witnessed along the way. Whether you've been here from the beginning or found the podcast more recently, thank you for being part of this journey. It has truly been an honour to walk alongside you. In this episode, I'm reflecting on the biggest lessons I've learned after 10 years of coaching and supporting single mums through separation, divorce, and rebuilding their lives. While every woman's journey is unique, certain patterns, insights, and truths have come up time and time again. These lessons don't come from a textbook; they come from real conversations I've had, lived experiences, and walking alongside hundreds of women through some of the hardest chapters of their lives. Whether you're at the beginning of your journey or well into creating your next chapter, I hope these reflections encourage, reassure, and inspire you. In this episode, we explore the powerful shift that happens when you move beyond simply surviving separation and begin asking, "What do I want to create now?" While divorce or separation may always be part of your story, it doesn't have to define the rest of your life. We talk about how to start building a future that's richer, more meaningful, and centred on who you're becoming (not what you've been through). If you're ready to move from getting through each day to creating a life you love, this episode will encourage you to take that next step with hope and purpose. In this episode, I'm talking about one of the questions I'm asked most often: How do I know if I'm actually healing? After separation or divorce, it's easy to feel like you're making progress one day, only to be triggered the next and wonder if you're back where you started. I explore why healing is rarely a straight line and how setbacks don't erase the progress you've already made. If you've been questioning whether you're moving forward, this episode offers reassurance, perspective, and reminders to help you recognise the quiet signs of healing that are often easy to miss. In this episode, I'm talking about what it means to date with intention after separation or divorce. Whether you've found yourself jumping into relationships too quickly, avoiding dating altogether, or feeling unsure about what you're actually looking for, this conversation is for you. We explore the importance of understanding your values, being clear about your goals, and making conscious decisions rather than reacting out of fear, loneliness, or old patterns. Dating with intention isn't about finding someone as quickly as possible; it's about approaching relationships in a way that aligns with the life you want to create.
