We recently had the opportunity to interview drummer Phill Calvert who told us about the boys’ early school days, his departure from the band and why he knew eventually Nick would go solo. Welcome to our special '50 years of Punk' Known Pleasures celebration. In this episode we ask the question 'Who Invented Punk'? Was it indeed invented by some crazed lunatic in a laboratory? Did it gradually evolve from a Big Bang like event? Was it intelligently designed by a higher being? And can it be attributed to a specific country or even zip code? One thing is for sure..... no one will agree on the answer.
