Elena stepped off the plane at Ibiza Airport, the warm Mediterranean breeze instantly caressing her face. The island had always been a distant dream; now, it was a tangible reality. With her suitcase in hand and excitement bubbling, she made her way through the bustling terminal, eager to immerse herself in the legendary Ibiza experience. After checking into her boutique hotel, she explored Dalt Vila, the ancient walled city of Ibiza Town. The sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the cobblestone streets and whitewashed buildings adorned with vibrant bougainvillea. Elena wandered through the maze of narrow alleyways, feeling the island’s history and charm envelop her. She admired a stunning harbor view and noticed a man sketching the scene. He had tousled dark hair and an easy smile that caught her attention. "Beautiful, isn't it?" he said, looking up from his sketchbook. "It is," Elena replied, smiling back. "I'm Elena, by the way. Just arrived today." "Nice to meet you, Elena. I'm Marco," he said, extending a hand. They chatted effortlessly, their conversation flowing as naturally as the gentle sea breeze. Marco shared stories about his life on the island, his passion for art, and the magic that made Ibiza special. Marco's phone buzzed with a message as the sky turned from gold to deep purple. He glanced at it and then looked at Elena with a grin. "How would you like to experience a villa party tonight? It's at my friend’s place, and I think you’ll love it. Sebastiaan Hooft will be DJing." Elena's heart skipped a beat. "I'd love to," she replied, her excitement palpable. They walked together through the twilight, the streets gradually giving way to the serene countryside. Marco led her to a stunning villa perched high above the sea, its terraces offering panoramic views of the coastline. The villa was a masterpiece of architecture, blending modern luxury with traditional Ibiza charm. As they entered, mellow beats greeted them, mingling with the laughter of guests enjoying the evening. Marco introduced Elena to a few friends, and she instantly felt welcomed into this vibrant circle. The atmosphere was intoxicating, a perfect blend of sophistication and laid-back island vibes. On the terrace, the music was smooth and melodic, mirroring the beauty of the sunset. Elena was swaying to the rhythm, a cocktail in hand, the stress of everyday life melting away. She and Marco danced together, their connection growing with each beat. The sky transitioned from twilight to starry night, the air warm and fragrant with jasmine and sea salt. As the night progressed, the energy ramped up. The DJ seamlessly blended tracks that had everyone on their feet, the beats pulsating through the crowd. Elena danced with Marco, their movements synchronizing effortlessly. She felt a profound sense of freedom, her spirit soaring. As the party began to wind down, the atmosphere remained electric, yet there was a sweet sense of the evening coming to a close. The DJ played a final track that matched the serenity of the night. Elena stood at the edge of the terrace with Marco, watching the last of the sun's glow fade over the shimmering sea. With a heart full of gratitude and a newfound connection with Marco, Elena knew this was just the beginning. The island had captured her heart, and she felt a deep sense of belonging. As the music faded and guests began to leave, Marco and Elena lingered a bit longer, savoring the moment's magic. Walking back through the now-quiet villa grounds, hand in hand, they talked about their plans for the next day. Elena smiled, knowing she would return to Ibiza, drawn back by its magic, music, and the promise of more unforgettable nights. The first stars appeared as they reached the gates, symbolizing all the adventures yet to come.

A full room, Rocco's farewell party, and a set that was supposed to be one hour and ended up running thirty minutes after closing. The dancefloor kept asking for more, and this recording is the full ride. Shout-out to the engineers of Paradiso! Rocco, thank you for asking me to play your farewell. It was an honor to soundtrack your goodbye, and I hope this set takes you right back to that night wherever you go next. Paradiso, thank you for having me. Playing under that roof in Amsterdam is always something special. And to everyone who was there and danced until the lights came on: this one is for you. Sebastiaan
September on the island is the month a lot of us wait for. The crowds thin out, the nights stay warm, and the people still here are the ones who came for the music. This hour leans into that. We open with brand new Drumcode. Volkoder and Korolova released "Waiting For You" at the end of August, their first collaboration and a debut on the label for both of them, built around a recurring vocal hook and a synth riff at 128. It carries melody and drive at the same time, which makes it a good door into the show. Rafael Cerato's "Cash" on Arcane Music follows, then Skytech's remix of ANOTR and 54 Ultra's "Talk to you" gets a short, sharp run before Andre Palms and Lahox take over with "Vibrations" on dFunk. Oliver Heldens and Will Clarke's "Lost In Music" on Spinnin' Deep is the first proper lift, and then it gets interesting: Bart Skils and Weska reworking Soul Central's "Strings Of Life / Un Amore Supremo" for Drumcode. Derrick May's original is one of the most remixed records in dance music, and most attempts add nothing. This one earns its place. The middle of the show belongs to Late London. Three tracks, all from the same "On The Case" EP that landed on Mindshake in August, spread across the set rather than stacked: "Double The Time," the J. Park collaboration "On The Case," and "TIME2WORK." Mindshake has had a strong summer, and this release is a big part of why. Around them, Morab, Altera, and Paul Harris with "Take A Trip" on AETERNA. Robag Wruhme's "Olahni" on Cocoon takes the temperature of the room down without losing anybody. Coco Bevan's "Move Like That" on Apples & Oranges and Sammy Dean's "Play The Game" on Wh0 Worx bring it back up. The last stretch opens out. Emanuel Satie and Bruno Roth's "Touch" runs long and does real work, then The Other Side's "Sinner" holds the deepest passage of the show. I close on my own, "Tree Pose." See you next month. Ibiza family, August is here, and the island is running at full temperature. This one is for you. I made this episode for exactly this moment of the season: one hour of the Seb_h sound, warm and groovy tech house for open air, golden light, and dancefloors that don't want the night to end. Wherever you are listening, on the beach, in the car, or getting ready for the night, this hour is yours. I have something special for you this month. You are the first to hear "Playa", my brand-new collaboration with Belgian Tomorrowland artist Crazy Sir-G, premiered exclusively in this episode. It comes from the same place this whole show comes from: sun, rhythm, and being completely present in the moment. Let me know what you think when you hear it; I read every reply. And if you are on the island: the Tomorrowland Rooftop Sessions continue this month with two nights above Playa d'en Bossa, Friday, August 14 and Friday, August 28, from sunset into the night. Come dance with us, come say hi. Meeting you on that rooftop is my favorite part of the season. All dates and updates: https://ra.co/dj/sebastiaanhooft Recorded in Es Cubells, Ibiza. Turn it up, close your eyes, and you're here.
