Show Notes
ALL THE THINGS THAT USED TO BE INSIDE OF US...NOW THEY ARE OUTSIDE, or rather, WELCOME to a brand new episode of the one and only CINEPUNX! In celebration of all things spooky and possibly ooky Josh and I take a short journey into Japanese horror with a discussion of Kiyoshi Kurosawa's Cure.
We obviously loved the movie, and spend some time talking about our experience with japane3se horror and the ways this film really bends perception through narrative film making. We hope you enjoy the discussion and if you have any comments or questions hit us up on socials or come chat in our discord. Email [email protected] for a link! We are so grateful to you for joining us on this cinematic journey!
Speaking of things we are incredibly grateful for, those include you the listener and the opportunity to do this show for the last decade!
To celebrate this incredible opportunity and the gift of all of you, we are hosting a celebratory screening in Philly at the ole PhilaMOCA, you can aquire tickets to said event here and we would love it if you would! We will not only be sharing this incredible Guy Maddin film, but also hanging out, munching on some snacks, and just being friends!
We of course do our usual gimmick of WACK AND ON TRACK, I don't know that we need to link to much except maybe CINEMA WASTELAND, and of course we also want you to come to our event above!
Thanks for listening! Please spend some time checking out our Patreon and of course, check out the family of shows available at Cinepunx.com.

More from Cinepunx
You can hardly believe it but those stalwart boys of Cinepunx are back! On this explosive new episode we get into it on two classic films we should have seen already, but somehow had not: Apocalypse Now and Platoon. We specifically watched the redux edition of Apocalypse Now if that matters to you, which I had not seen before now. Despite some reservations about the style of these movies, some of the narrative decisions, and the method they were made, we were mostly blown away by these movie.
NEW EPISODE IS HERE! Join us as we explore one of the greatest directors of the 20th Century, Yasujiro Ozu by discussing his most famous film, Tokyo Story.
COME AT YAH WITH A BRAND NEW EPISODE!
BACK TOGETHER AND IT FEELS SO GOOD! Hey friends, welcome to our new episode as we check in on the cinema of today! Basically, we are working to try and record more, and I would LOVE to blame Josh but in reality scheduling has been hard for both of us. Episode is still super good, so no worries, but yes, it is a bit of a catch up so we have something to put out. Still love you though
CUE THE SEXY SAXAMAPHONE, CINEPUNX IS BACK WITH THEIR OLD FRIEND EVAN VELLELA TO TALK ABOUT SOME DANG EROTIC THRILLERS!
