Show Notes
Welcome to Crying Rules Actually, a podcast about taking a short break from our extremely important work talking about BB in order to cover the under-examined world of English language visual novels! For the next three Saturdays we'll be releasing a deep dive dive into the 2025 itch.io-hosted Toxic Yuri Visual Novel Jam. Scroll down for a full list of works discussed on this episode, timestamps for when we discuss them, and links to all the available TYJ games we cover this episode! we're back to tyvnj coverage! a second jam has come and gone and we're here to sort through the almost 500 games for the handful of (read over 140) games we're going to cover in the coming episodes. we both made lists, combined them, and drafted from that list the games we each were going to play. it's not the most action packed episode but i hope you enjoy. next time, we'll be back talking about the games we played! featuring co-hosts Benn Ends (@bennends.itch.io) and fen (@fenic.moe). support the show and get access to bonus episodes: https://www.patreon.com/cryingrules link to the fate/moon archive new and improved schedule: http://moonarchive.art/schedule link to the full list of games we’re covering: https://faecloud.fenic.moe/s/QFBBLkt3J6oxA3f section timestamps: intro - 0:00 toxic yuri jam game draft - 32:31 outro - 1:48:28 this episode carries content warnings for discussions of pedantry, negativity, everything you'd expect from "toxic" yuri, etc. email us at [email protected] with questions, comments, and compliments. cover art by Benn Ends, intro music by Benn Ends, remaining music from works covered.
The brief yet challenging era of Prototype comes to a close with an unbelievable, jaw dropping twist! Not from the book, but from one of your beloved hosts! For Yuri Teatime we're also wrapping up the Chiaki route of White Album 2 with some highs and some lows, which is more than could be said about the protoypically mid Fragments of Sky Silver. Next time, we'll be covering... The Toxic Yuri VN Jam 2! We'll be spending several episode discussing a portion of the unbelievable ~500 entries to the jam, tarting with a draft episode wherein the two of us determine just how many games we'll be playing this time around.
